About Dr. Hodge@headingTag>
Dr. Julie Hodge is passionate about providing her pediatric patients with the highest level of compassionate care to build a lifelong partnership for children’s health and well-being. With a prestigious career and medical background in pediatric care, Dr. Hodge is excited to share her comprehensive knowledge of well childcare and behavioral health to build strong relationships between parents and children.
Dr. Hodge received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed both her internship and residency at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Her colleagues and patients have recognized her expertise, as she is the recipient of the Vitals.com Patient’s Choice 5th Anniversary Award, Compassionate Doctor Recognition and Bridges to Excellence Medical Home Recognition.
As a part of leading a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Hodge encourages parents to provide their children with three healthy meals and two snacks at consistent times each day. She counsels parents to reinforce healthy eating habits by allowing children to be more involved in mealtime by selecting the types and quantities of nutritious foods. In her approach to promoting positive conduct, she believes frequent, positive reinforcement is beneficial. Similarly, unacceptable behavior should be handled with consequences, such as withholding privileges and/or time out.
In her spare time, Dr. Hodge enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Scott, and two children, Jared and Carolyn in North Dallas. As a family they enjoy practicing healthy routines by eating well-balanced meals, walking various trails and are annual participants in the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.
