Welcome Denise!

I am very excited to join Village Health Partners at Legacy Medical Village in Plano as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have been a West Plano resident for 14 years and feel honored to serve the members of my community. As a student, I had the opportunity to spend six months completing a clinical rotation at Village Health Partners and quickly learned that this practice would be an excellent fit for me. The providers at Village Health Partners share my beliefs of promoting disease prevention through health screenings, living a healthy lifestyle and education. Village Health Partners has an excellent reputation in the community and I am excited about becoming a new team member.

I began my healthcare career fifteen years ago as medical esthetician doing laser

skin care treatments. Seven years later, I decided to advance my career and go to nursing school. As a registered nurse, I have worked in several areas including medical/surgical, cardiac progressive care, and the emergency department in Dallas. During my career, I have been charge nurse and have precepted new graduate nurses.

I completed my Associate Degree in Nursing from Peninsula College in beautiful Port Angeles, Washington and then continued on for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington. I recently graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree.

Some of my favorite activities include spending time at the lake with my dog, hiking, cooking, working out, and trying new restaurants with my friends and family.
