About Dr. Hewitt
Dr. Hewitt is a passionate family medicine physician at Village Health partners where he practices his life-long vision of providing the highest quality health care to patients of all ages. He is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician who is an advocate for his patients, treating their health issues with superior care and knowledge. He values the importance of the doctor-patient relationship and understands that a balance of experience and knowledge combined with communication, accessibility, and compassion are the foundational tools for a successful connection with his patients.
As a family medicine provider, Dr. Hewitt takes a special interest in preventive medicine, education on the importance of healthy lifestyles, men’s health, and pediatric care. In addition to his experience with a wide spectrum of family medicine medical issues, he brings an expertise in technology and an ability to help patients navigate the complicated healthcare system. His view of a patient-centered medical home led him from Houston to Village Health Partners in Plano, Texas.
Dr. Hewitt graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Biochemistry. He attended medical school in the world renowned Texas Medical Center at the University of Texas Medical School. During his residency at Memorial Family Medicine in Houston, he was actively involved in recruitment, policy change, and served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. His education and experience in this patient-centered medical home has equipped him to provide the highest quality health care for patients.
Dr. Hewitt lives in Frisco with his wife and daughters. He and his family are active in their church home, Stonebriar Community Church. They enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Hewitt likes participating in outdoor activities and supports Texas Longhorn sports.

"I didn't have a family doc so I used the BCBS website to find doctors in my plan. Sorta picked the first doc that was close to home & made an appt with Dr. Hewitt. He was friendly, a good listener, and seem knowledgeable. I went home w/o having to deal with prescribed rx (which is good--some docs are quick to push prescription drugs on you). Staff was really friendly and upbeat (greeted me quickly). My check-in as a new patient was quick because I downloaded forms online and had it completed prior to my visit. Watiing area was less than 5 minutes, but I did wait at least 15-20 mins in the patient room before seeing Dr. Hewitt. ISSUE: Wished the staff would read the visit notes. When scheduling an appt I had to tell them the reason for my appt. When talking to the nurse I had to repeat my reason. Then when I saw Dr. Hewitt I had to repeat it again. It's rare that the staff do read patient notes before seeing them, but it would be great & time efficient if they did. Just sayin'. Another thing was I did not get a reminder call for my appt. I consider myself pretty responsible, but reminders help. Overall, friendly staff, friendly doctor, convenient location......think he'll be my family doctor for now!"
