Melanie Tschirhart, MS, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Village Health Partners McKinney Medical Village and sees patients ages six months and older. Her background is emergency medicine and urgent care. She has 15 years of experience as an FNP in family medicine and is passionate about patient education, disease prevention, and health promotion.
Melanie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University and her Master of Science from Texas Woman’s University. She received her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is also an active member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association.
Melanie encourages her patients to live a healthy lifestyle by engaging in regular exercise, reducing stress, getting adequate sleep, and eating a nutritious diet. She wants patients to understand these things are essential for overall health and weight management. She is also passionate about heart disease education for women, mental health awareness, and domestic violence prevention.
Melanie lives in McKinney with her husband, John, and two kids, Katherine and William. Her family enjoys walking, riding bikes, hiking and swimming. In their free time, they also enjoy family game nights, movie nights and traveling. Melanie and her daughter volunteer with National Charity League, and she and her son volunteer with Young Men’s Service League. Both are community service organizations that benefit local charities.
