Our adult patients may be living with unbalanced hormones or have unexplained symptoms. This is why we are now offering BioTE, a Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). We have health practitioners at Village Health Partners who are now certified providers of BioTE, and we want to help our patients, both men and women, have a better quality of life through balanced hormones. BioTE is a pellet therapy implanted under your skin that will gradually release a BHRT dosage customize just for you into your blood stream. Made at a compounding pharmacist, our BioTE pellets are made for you after a careful examination of your current hormone levels, level of physical activity, lifestyle choices, symptoms, and medications.

Patients, who live with unexplained symptoms (like mood swings, low libido, or weight gain), may benefit from this therapy at Village Health Partners.  We invite you to learn more about the health benefits of BioTE at your appointment.

What's Involved?

During your first consultation, your practitioner at Village Health Partners will provide you with a physical examination (height, weight, and vital signs) and ask many healthy history questions. It is very important to share all the medications that you are currently taking and explain the symptoms you are experiencing. Your practitioner will also order a blood work panel to get the full picture of your health.

You will have an appointment in our office every 3 – 6 months for the BioTE pellet insertion. We will provide you with a local anesthetic to place the pellet in the skin of the upper part of your buttocks. A small incision is made, the pellet placed, and then closed with surgical adhesive (no sutures). You should not feel the pellet as it is inserted into the fatty lining of your skin. Over time, the pellet will release the hormone therapy consistently to keep it in a therapeutic range for hormone optimization.
