About Jessica

Jessica Macwan, APRN, FNP-C is board certified as a family nurse practitioner and sees patients ages 18 and up at Village Health Partners - West Plano Medical Village in Plano, TX.

After working several years as a nurse, Jessica chose to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner because she wanted to become more vested in the care and treatment of those that she serves in the community. She wants to further support her patients by providing personalized, holistic care to each patient. Jessica is passionate about delivering compassionate care to create a strong therapeutic relationship with an emphasis on educating her patients on evidence-based practice.

She believes the most important things that are beneficial for all patients is a healthy balanced diet, making a habit of exercising at least 30 minutes daily, and practicing good sleep habits. Jessica also believes that mental health is often ignored yet is an important aspect of our overall health – as many mental health illnesses can cause physical symptoms that are preventable by treating the mental health illness. By working on health holistically and understanding each patient’s personal health concerns, she hopes to help her patients find a healthy balance of physical and mental health.
