Nicole Turner Beardslee is a licensed professional counselor at Village Health Partners in Plano, Texas. She is passionate about promoting a holistic approach to achieve optimum health focusing on physical, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions simultaneously. Mental and physical health are not separate from each other and she believes that treating our emotional wellbeing is just as important as treating physical symptoms.
Nicole and her patients work together to develop counseling goals that are specific, time-sensitive and solution focused. She continually discusses progress with her patients to ensure efforts are geared towards successful completion of counseling goals. She emphasizes the importance of the benefits of exercise, journaling, and being intentional about making time just for yourself. She is especially impassioned to help patients in the following counseling areas; depression, anxiety, dealing with life changes and transitions, couples counseling, grief and loss, women’s issues, substance abuse, trauma and LGBTQ issues.
Nicole earned her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of South Dakota. She went on to receive a Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling and a Masters of Science in Human Services from Bellevue University.
Nicole and her family enjoy having meals together as many evenings as possible during the week, camping, fishing, playing music, hiking, playing scrabble, watching movies, and amusement parks. Her and her husband are both musicians and enjoy attending the symphony as well as local music shows. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, cooking, and antique and flea market shopping.
