About Marissa
Marissa Stanfill is a licensed professional counselor at Independence Medical Village. She brings more than four years of experience in counseling and sees patients 18 years and older. She is passionate about building relationships with patients and taking a genuine interest in their lives.
Marissa focuses on collaborating with patients to fully understand them and help patients stand on their own two feet. She wants to help patients make decisions they feel good about because at the end of the day, patients know what’s best for themselves. She encourages patients to be open and wants them to know that appointments are their time to feel and say what they want. She focuses on creating a safe space and wants patients to know that counseling is a way to get better. Marissa has a background in trauma counseling.

Marissa lives in Collin County with her husband. In their free time, they enjoy spending time together as newlyweds watching movies and being with their pets. Marissa enjoys shopping and traveling and likes to swim and take walks in nature as part of a healthy lifestyle.
