In honor of Memorial Day we will be closed on May 29 and will remain normal business hours on Tuesday. Our weekend urgent care hours will remain the same.

Welcome Laura Carlson

I am very excited and grateful to be joining Village Health Partners at Legacy Medical Village in Plano. Village Health Partners has a team of providers that are committed to helping our patients and community thrive and I am thrilled to become a part of the team. Prior to joining VHP I had the privilege of completing a portion of my clinicals hours as a student and quickly learned that VHP was where I wanted to be. I truly felt at home. The providers and staff at VHP are so welcoming and treat everyone with the upmost respect. I have always been passionate about disease prevention and patient education. I know that at VHP I will have the resources I need to help improve patient outcomes and maintain overall patient health and well-being.

I was born and raised in Garland TX but completed my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Angelo State University. After graduating with my BSN 8 years ago, I started working on a medical/surgical unit and an Intensive Care Unit. I then transitioned to a busy Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Plano, TX. During that time, I had the privilege of serving both as a preceptor to new grads and as a charge nurse. After 5 years of bedside nursing care, I decided to go back to school to advance my career and get my Masters in Nursing. I chose Family practice because I really feel passionate about getting to know my patients individually and making a positive impact on their lives and their health. I have recently completed my Master of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington.

I now reside in Wylie with my husband and our two wonderful children. My family and I love to spend time out on the lake fishing and tubing. We also enjoy traveling and spending quality time together now that I am out of school.
