A male well-check is an essential form of disease and illness prevention and should be given to all men annually. It is very important for patients to visit their physician regularly, even if they feel healthy. A well-check consists of a number of different tests and examinations to gather an overall analysis of the patient's health. This procedure will help the doctor and patient discover any health concerns and together create and implement a plan for a better, healthier lifestyle. The Plano, TX family doctors at Village Health Partners provide male well-checks throughout the year and can help patients maintain their health year-round.

"Shelley is great. I've been a patient of hers for a few months now and she has been great. The app they use to send messages has been great and her response time is fantastic."- Anonymous / Healthgrades / May 26, 2021
"Dr. Liane Libel is So AMAZING, and this was my first time in her office. I was nervous, but the staff was so welcoming with Smiles. When I meet Dr. Kibel she was very concerned, helpful, and so polite with my health concerns. I live in Fort Worth I will definitely be a Forever Patient ❤️"- A.J. / Google / May 25, 2021
"This office is extremely busy yet very organized. I was there to request some records and the woman at one of the check in windows (I apologize for not remembering her name) was very polite and informed me that she was unable to help me with what I needed. However, she directed me very quickly through a door where I met with a gentleman named James who was not only polite and efficient he went above and beyond to provide me with all of the information I needed and he also helped me with instructions on how to access the portal. My experience there was very quick and pleasant. Thank you to those two people I encountered there, your service was remarkable."- M.C. / Google / May 25, 2021
"If you appreciate a Dr. that actually takes the time to listen and get to know you, this is the one for you. She's kind, explains things really well, and gives great advice. It's so rare to find doctors that don't rush you in and out. I almost don't want to post this so that she doesn't get busier...lol"- E.J. / Google / May 13, 2021
About the Procedure
A male well-check is a non-invasive check-up that is composed of a series of tests and examinations to discover a patient’s overall health status. During this check-up, administered tests include those for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, heart disease, and diabetes. Patients will also be screened for testicular and prostate cancer. It is recommended that older male patients, 40 years and up, schedule their PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test at the same time as their well-check. During their well-check patients will also undergo a physical examination. The purpose of the well-check is to screen for any medical issues, update vaccinations, provide treatment if there is an illness, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

At our medical facility, we are committed to providing patients with the best care and treatment options available. Plan Your Visit
Additional testing may be required in patients who had abnormal findings during well-check. Patients with abnormalities such as extremely high blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar may need additional testing, as this is cause for concern. Patients may also need additional testing if there were unnatural findings regarding cancer screenings as well. Your physician will consult with you after the completion of your well-check to offer a testing and treatment plan, should it be necessary.
