A male well-check is an essential form of disease and illness prevention and should be given to all men annually. It is very important for patients to visit their physician regularly, even if they feel healthy. A well-check consists of a number of different tests and examinations to gather an overall analysis of the patient's health. This procedure will help the doctor and patient discover any health concerns and together create and implement a plan for a better, healthier lifestyle. The Plano, TX family doctors at Village Health Partners provide male well-checks throughout the year and can help patients maintain their health year-round.
"Dr John Moon is fantastic!!! We've been going to him for years and just think the world of him."- M.B. / Facebook / Jun 27, 2014
"Dr. Sander Gothard was recommend to me by a family friend. Very pleased they told me about him. I am now blessed for having Dr. Gothard has my physician; he is professional, courteous, great bedside manners, takes times to go over test results and answer questions, he listens to your concerns. One of the many things that makes him a great doctor is that he does not push pills/medications, instead discussing not only the best options for the needed care, but also the plan to get you healthy again. If you like having quick access to things; his practice offers the option to use their app to retrieve results, correspond with them and more. If not, the office staff provides good customer service. Dr. Gothard’s medical assistant is Bre, she too is courteous and professional. Dr. Gothard and Bre make a great team. I have recommended Dr. Gothard to many people I know. He deserves more than 5 stars. The world needs more physicians like him. I highly recommend Dr. Sander Gothard."- O.C. / Google / Jan 11, 2022

About the Procedure
A male well-check is a non-invasive check-up that is composed of a series of tests and examinations to discover a patient’s overall health status. During this check-up, administered tests include those for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, heart disease, and diabetes. Patients will also be screened for testicular and prostate cancer. It is recommended that older male patients, 40 years and up, schedule their PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test at the same time as their well-check. During their well-check patients will also undergo a physical examination. The purpose of the well-check is to screen for any medical issues, update vaccinations, provide treatment if there is an illness, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

At our medical facility, we are committed to providing patients with the best care and treatment options available. It is our goal to help our patients receive the knowledge and information they need regarding their health. We strive to ensure that everyone who enters our facility has everything they need to lead a healthy and rewarding lifestyle.
Plan Your Visit
Additional testing may be required in patients who had abnormal findings during well-check. Patients with abnormalities such as extremely high blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar may need additional testing, as this is cause for concern. Patients may also need additional testing if there were unnatural findings regarding cancer screenings as well. Your physician will consult with you after the completion of your well-check to offer a testing and treatment plan, should it be necessary.
