Sweta Manek is a family nurse practitioner bringing more than seven years of experience to Legacy Medical Village. She sees patients one year and older, and she is passionate about helping patients reach their health goals.
Sweta encourages patients to stay up to date on annual physicals, vaccinations and preventive care. She wants patients to focus on self-care – whether that’s making time for exercise, counseling, preparing meals, journaling, volunteering or more – and incorporating more plants and healthy decisions into their diets. Sweta believes managing stress, a healthy diet, proper nutrition and exercise are important aspects of whole-person wellness.
Sweta earned her Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor’s in commerce from Puna University in India. She was awarded Top Nurse in Cleburne, Texas by the International Nurse Association in 2019 and the Baylor Nursing Excellence Award in 2015 and 2016. Sweta was also awarded Texas Woman’s University’s Mentorship Award in 2013 and Collin College’s Excellent Student Award in 2012.
Sweta lives in Plano with her husband Sandeep. They have two children. In their free time, they enjoy traveling, hiking and trying recipes from around the world. As part of a healthy lifestyle, Sweta follows a vegetarian diet and exercises regularly.
