About Shelley
Shelley sees patients at our brand-new West Plano Medical Village location. It’s less than a minute away from Legacy Medical Village, where she previously saw patients.
Shelley Loomstein joined Village Health Partners in the summer of 2012 and she is thrilled to be back in her hometown community. As a Plano native, Shelley graduated from Plano Senior High School, where she was active in the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization and also danced as a Planoette on her high school drill team.
Shelley has worked in the Dallas and Plano area as a physician assistant in private family practice for more than 15 years. Family medicine is truly where her passion is, as it allows her to develop close relationships with her patients and their families. She enjoys getting to know the person behind each patient and feels blessed to be in such an amazing profession that allows her to make a difference in people’s lives.
She is licensed to diagnose, examine and treat patients. She also specializes in hormone replacement for men and women, including BioTe. Shelley works hard to empower and encourage patients to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
How Shelley practices whole-person wellness
Shelley resides in Plano with her husband and their two young children. She enjoys running, traveling, and anything that involves spending time with her family.

Undergraduate Studies, University of Texas at Austin
Physician Assistant degree, University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston
Care team
Shelley works hand in hand with Dr. Gothard and also works closely with team members at her care station. This includes advanced practitioners Kristen Dirks and Kristen Mahurin.
